Open Days: Usually held on the first Monday of every month and open to LGC members and members of other clubs affiliated with Golf Victoria, or interstate/overseas equivalent.
Latrobe Open Amateur: Played on the first Sunday of each year, it is the traditional start of Golf Victoria’s Ivo Whitton Trophy which is a series of elite amateur events held at different golf clubs in Victoria throughout the year. Its purpose is to identify the player with the best average through these events playing 36 holes, with a Junior event held in conjunction for under 18 golfers.
A popular event producing high level golfing often leading to Pennant squad selection.
Latrobe Women’s Guest Day: This popular event is usually held in March each year and gives our members the opportunity to share our beautiful Course with family and friends. Shot gun start team event followed by lunch and presentations.
Women’s Challenge Bowl: Usually held around the 3rd Thursday in March, this is a great opportunity for friends to represent their club in a 4BBB team event with prizes for each team member and an enjoyable lunch to follow.
Red Tee Day: A popular social day for members and guests to enjoy playing golf together off the women’s tees. Mixed event. Shot gun start. Novelty competitions, lunch and presentation of prizes. Fun for all.
Holden Scramble: Mixed event. Shot gun start, lunch and sporting identity guest speaker. All invited. Major prizes.
Yarra Women’s Challenge: An exciting new challenge event held on Monday 19th October for Yarra Bend, Strathallan, Bundoora, Burnley, Riverview (Ivanhoe), Camberwell and Latrobe Golf Clubs. Each Club competes with 10 players and the best 5 scores count for a win. Major prize is a perpetual trophy with other prizes incl. nearest the pins.
Women’s Charity Day: This event is the major annual fundraiser, held on Oaks Day in November. Shot gun start for members and guests. Lunch, hat parade, beautiful raffle prizes and Sweep. This event is always booked out, so get in early.
