Latrobe 2010 Junior Open Results
JUNIOR GOLFER OF THE YEAR 2009:
Calum McCarthy won the event by 114 points. It was his third win in a row after leading for eleven months of the year. Dale Langford finished in second place with Zak Koch third a further 27 points behind.
JUNIOR GOLFER OF THE YEAR 2010
After 8 months Keegan Michael and Matthew Sellars are joint leaders in this year's event with 197 points. Calum McCarthy third on 196.
JUNIOR GOLFER OF THE MONTH - AUGUST 2010
Nick Serdenes won the trophy with 22 points. Jason Kolenda and Calum McCarthy were equal second on 21.
JUNIOR MONTHLY MEDAL:
On a nominated Sunday of each month the best junior score in the club competition is the inner of the above award. For August it was won by Jason Kolenda with 39 stableford points.
JUNIOR PENNANT:
The 2009 season commenced on Sunday 8th November.
In Round 1 we drew 3/3 with Rosanna at Rosanna. Zak Koch, Keegan Michael and James McIntyre were our winners.
Round 2 resulted in a 4/2 win over Yarra Valley. Zak Koch, Nick Serdenes and Sam McCarthy won their matches while Lewis Harry and Keegan Michael drew theirs.
Round 3 finished in a loss 1.5/4/5 to Kew. Zak Koch was the only winner while Charlie Robinson drew his match.
Round 4 found us back on the winner's list with a score of 4/2 over Whittlesea. Our winners were Zak Koch, Keegan Michael, Charlie Robinson and Sam McCarthy.
The final roundresulted in a 5-1 loss to Northern. Sam McCarthy was our only winner.
We finished third on the ladder. Zak Koch, 4 matches and Sam McCarthy, 3 matches, had fine seasons finishing unbeaten..
SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM:
The latest "Super Series" was held in June/July school holidays. Jason Kolenda was the winner from Matthew Sellars with Nick Serdenes in third place. The next series will be held during the September/October 2010 school holidays.

STUART APPLEBY CLUB TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP
Our team of ZakKoch, James McIntyre, Sam McCarthy and Nick Serdenes competed at Green Acres in a qualifying round. They played well but were unable to qualify for the final which will be held at Kingston heath on 21st December. We have another chance to be in the final as Spring Valley will be the venue for another qualifying round in the next school holidays.
